Climbing with Young Children at Kiipeilyareena

Children of all ages are welcome at our gyms! Children under 14 may climb accompanied by a supervisor. See the exact age limits on the Safety rules and regulations page. We want climbers to feel welcome at our gyms at every stage of life, and that’s why all our gyms are accessible with strollers. Please note that our facilities are not allergy-free.

RISTIKKO

  1. Changing tables are located in the accessible restroom on the 1st floor and in the women’s and men’s changing rooms on the 2nd floor.
  2. With a stroller, you can reach the gym’s 1st floor climbing area by elevator. The 2nd floor bouldering area can be reached by elevator with staff assistance, by first arriving at customer service on the 1st floor via the elevator.
  3. Small climbing shoes are available for rent starting from size 27.
  4. Full-body harnesses are available on loan for the youngest children. For auto-belay devices, an extension piece with a longer sling, which attaches to the harness, is available.
  5. The gym also has full-body harnesses available on loan for adults.
  6. The bouldering area has a bouldering wall intended for young children.
  7. The terrace has a play area for children, which includes a play kitchen and activities for the littlest ones as well.
  8. The gym has high baby chairs and the option to warm up food with staff assistance.

KALASATAMA

  1. A changing table is located in one of the two unisex restrooms in the lobby.
  2. The gym’s main entrance has a staircase with 35 steps down. The accessible entrance to the gym is located on the K1 floor of the shopping center, next to Saiturinpörssi and Kalasataman Apteekki, and access to the gym is provided with staff assistance. To have the door opened, call the gym’s phone number 040 143 9581, and staff will come to open the door and assist you to the gym’s lowest floor.

  4. The lower floor has a bouldering wall intended for young children.
  5. The lobby has a play kitchen for children, toys, games, and drawing supplies, as well as a high chair.

SALMISAARI

  1. Changing tables are located in the accessible restroom in the K1 floor corridor and in the 1st floor lobby.
  2. With a stroller, you can reach both the K1 floor and the 1st floor facilities by elevator.
  3. Small climbing shoes are available for rent starting from size 28.
  4. Full-body harnesses are available on loan for the youngest children. For auto-belay devices, an extension piece with a longer sling, which attaches to the harness, is available.
