KIIPEILYAREENA MEMBERSHIP’s TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Membership for one year

1. The membership agreement holder must be at least 18 years old, or at least 14 years old with written or email consent from a guardian. The consent must be sent by email to info@kiipeilyareena.com.

2. Membership contracts are valid for one year. 

3. Memberships do not renew automatically – they must be renewed each year. 

4. Changes to contract information, such as address or billing details, must be made through the Go Active! app or via our website. 

5. If the member is not satisfied with KiipeilyAreena’s services, the membership may be canceled within 10 days of the contract start date. In such cases, KiipeilyAreena will charge one month’s fee (annual fee divided by twelve). The member is then entitled to use the services for one month. 

6. Membership can be frozen for the following reasons: 

  • Moving abroad or to another city 
  • Serious injury 
  • Long-term illness or disability 
  • Other unexpected event providing justified grounds 

The total contract duration, excluding the freeze period, must always be at least 12 months. Membership cannot be frozen, for example, due to holidays. Minimum freeze is 1 month. Please note that freezing cannot be done retroactively – for example, in case of injury, you must notify info@kiipeilyareena.com immediately. Freezing takes 1–5 working days.

Family discounts 

Family discounts only apply to memberships taken out for one year. You are eligible for a family discount if 1. a family member is a full-price adult or belongs to the Discounted group. You are only eligible for a family discount if the individuals live at the same address. The first family membership must be valid for at least 3 months. Family discounts are not available with Flexible Membership. 

A Amendments to the Terms and Conditions 

KiipeilyAreena reserves the right to amend these membership terms and conditions. Any amendments will take effect no earlier than 30 days after they have been notified to members by email and/or published on the Kiipeilyareena’s website. 
 
If a member does not accept material changes, they have the right to terminate their membership so that it ends on the effective date of those changes without any notice period. (Material changes refer, for example, to amendments affecting the membership fee, the duration of the agreement, or other key rights and obligations of the member. Minor operational adjustments—such as updates to opening hours—are not considered material changes.


Flexible Membership

1. The membership agreement holder must be at least 18 years old, or at least 14 years old with written or email consent from a guardian. The consent must be sent by email to info@kiipeilyareena.com. 

2. The membership agreement is valid until further notice. The membership fee is charged monthly and continues until it is terminated. If a promotional price applies, that price is valid for the duration specified in the promotion. After that period, the monthly fee will automatically increase to the regular price. 

Members eligible for a discount group must verify their eligibility at one of KiipeilyAreena’s locations. 

Members will be notified of any potential price changes twice — approximately 60 days before and again about one week before the change. NOTE: This does not apply to the end of a promotional price period.

3. At the start of the membership, the first month’s fee + a 35 € activation fee is charged. 

4. Contract matters, such as freezes or updates to address or billing details, must be handled in the Go Active! app or via our website.  

Membership cancellations must be made by email to info@kiipeilyareena.com. 

5. The member must add a valid payment card to the Go Active! app. Monthly fees are charged automatically. If payment fails, the system retries daily. If payment has not succeeded within 25 days, the contract will terminate automatically. 

6. Flexible memberships can be paused up to twice per year in the Go Active! app or website. Reactivation after a pause is free. Memberships may also be canceled completely at any time without cause or fees. Minimum pause is 1 month. 

In addition, the membership can be frozen for the following reasons: 

  • Moving abroad or to another city  
  • Serious injury  
  • Long-term illness or disability   
  • Other unexpected justified reason 

Previous fees must be paid before freezing. After the freeze, billing resumes normally once reactivated. Minimum freeze is 1 month. Freezing takes 1–5 working days. Please note that freezing cannot be applied retroactively – e.g., in case of injury, notify info@kiipeilyareena.com immediately. 

7. If a member wishes to pay future installments with exercise benefits (Epassi, Smartum, Virike), this must be done in good time (5 days) at one of our gyms before the start of the next month’s period. Epassi can also be used to pay directly online.

Members can also load exercise benefits onto their customer account as credit. The system calculates the payment: 1 month’s period minus the credit loaded onto the customer account. If there is credit remaining on the account after the payment has been made, it will be used to pay for the next installment. The balance loaded onto the account must be used within two years of loading.

    Note: These benefits are not valid during summer opening hours. Opening hours may change. 
  1. 20 % discount on all regular-priced products such as climbing shoes and harnesses (excluding food and books). 
  1. 10 % discount on KiipeilyAreena coaching. 
  1. Free rope storage at Salmisaari. 
  1. 30 € gift card if you bring a friend to a top rope climbing course. 
  1. Free climbing trial for a first-time friend, including equipment rental.
