KIIPEILYAREENA MEMBERSHIP TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Membership terms and conditions for memberships paid in one instalment and memberships paid in four instalments:
1. The member must be 18 years of age, or 14 years of age with written or email consent from a guardian. The email should be sent to info@kiipeilyareena.com.
2. The membership contract is made for one year at a time and the member commits to either a one-time payment or payment in four instalments.
3. The one-time and four instalment contract does not continue automatically and must be renewed after each year.
4. Changes to contract information, such as address or invoicing information, should be made by email to info@kiipeilyareena.com.
5. If a member is not satisfied with KiipeilyAreena’s services, the membership may be cancelled within 10 days of the start date. In this case, KiipeilyAreena will charge a one month’s fee. The fee is the contract’s total sum divided by twelve. The member then has the right to use KiipeilyAreena’s services for one month.
6. Members with a one-time or four instalment paid membership are entitled to pause the contract for the following reasons:
- moving abroad or to another municipality
- serious injury
- long-term illness or physical incapacity
- other unforeseeable circumstances which justify the suspension of the contract
If the contract is paused, all received payments must be paid. During the pause, no new invoices will be sent and invoicing will resume as normal when the membership is activated. The total duration of the contract, excluding the period of the pause, must always be at least 12 months. Memberships cannot be paused for reasons such as holidays. The minimum pause period is one month. Please note that a contract cannot be paused afterwards, e.g., an injury must be reported immediately. It may take up to 5 working days for the contract to be paused.
7. The first of four instalments must be paid when the contract is made. Invoices for the membership paid in four instalments will be sent by e-mail or to your home address. Currently, we wish to send invoices by e-mail.
Already received invoices CANNOT BE PAID AT THE FRONT DESK, i.e., they must be paid by bank transfer according to the instructions on the invoice.
If the member wants to pay future instalments with sportbenefits (E-passi, Smartum, Virike, Tyky), they must be added as balance to the member’s own account. This should be done before the start of the next 3-month period at one of our gyms, however at least 2 weeks prior. The next invoice will be either a zero invoice or an amount calculated by the system: the 3-month period minus the balance added to the account. If a balance remains on the account after payment, it will be used for the next instalment. After one year, the contract can be renewed by visiting one of our gyms or by sending an email to info@kiipeilyareena.com.
Any balance added to the account must be used within two years.
8. Overdue payments will receive one reminder including the current reminder fee. KiipeilyAreena reserves the right to suspend services for the duration of the non-payment. This does not exempt the customer from paying further instalments.

Flexible Membership terms and conditions:
1. The member must be 18 years of age, or 14 years of age with written or email consent from a guardian. The email should be sent to info@kiipeilyareena.com.
2. The membership is a monthly subscription which continues indefinitely until cancelled. In case there is a campaign applied, this discount is valid for the duration of the campaign. After this the monthly fee automatically increases to the normal price.
If you have purchased the student flexible membership, please note that you are eligible to this price for 12 months after starting the contract. Please note, that in order to continue with the student price, you have to provide us with student documentation via email info@kiipeilyareena.com or at one of our facilities one month before the 12 month period ends.
Members will be notified twice about any changes in prices—first, approxiamently 60 days prior to the change, and second, approxiamently one week before the updated price comes into effect. NOTE: This does not include discounted prices.
3. The first month and a 35 € initiation fee is charged when starting the flexible membership.
4. Contract issues such as suspensions, cancellations, changes of address or billing information should be made by email to info@kiipeilyareena.com
5. Members are required to link their payment card to their KiipeilyAreena profile for monthly automatic payments. If a payment has been unsuccessful from your payment card, the system will for 25 consecutive days try and charge the payment card. In the event of a payment failure, the membership will automatically end. You can update your payment card information by logging into your KiipeilyAreena profile. Payment cannot be made at the counter afterwards.
6. The monthly membership can be paused up to two times a year without providing a reason, or cancelled entirely without additional expenses. Minimum pause is one month. It may take up to 5 working days for the contract to be paused.
On top of this, the membership can be paused for the following reasons:
- moving abroad or to another municipality
- serious injury

7. If the member wants to pay future payments with sport benefits (E-passi, Smartum, Virike, Tyky), they must be added as balance to the member’s own account. This should be done before the start of the next period at one of our gyms, at least 2 weeks prior. Family discounts:
Family discounts only apply to 12-month memberships (memberships paid in one or 4 instalments). To qualify for a family discount, the 1st annual membership must be a full adult membership or a Discount Group A membership and living at the same address. The 1st annual membership must be valid for at least 3 months.
The family discount is not available for Flexible Memberships.
KiipeilyAreena members receive the following benefits:
1. Climbing at all KiipeilyAreena gyms, also during routesetting mornings:
- In Salmisaari from Monday to Thursday 8 am onwards.
- In Ristikko from Monday to Thursday 8 am onwards.
- In Kalasatama from Wednesday to Thursday 8 am onwards.
Please note that this benefit is not valid during summer opening hours and public holidays.
We reserve the rights to changes in opening hours.
2. 20% discount on all regular priced products such as climbing shoes and harnesses.
The discount does not apply to food products and books.
3. 10 % discount from KiipeilyAreena coaching
4. Free rope storage in Salmisaari.
5. 30 euro gift card if member can convince a friend to take the top rope course.
6. Free climbing try-out for a first-time friend, including rental equipment.
