Terms of Purchase for Online Services and Events

These terms apply to services provided by KiipeilyAreena (hereinafter the “Service Provider”), such as climbing courses, birthday parties and other events (hereinafter the “service”), as well as their purchase through the online store or other sales channels. By accepting these terms at the time of purchase, the customer agrees to comply with them.

1. Registration and Payment

  • Registration for the service is binding.
  • As a rule, payment is made at the time of registration using the payment methods accepted in the online store. Payment is confirmed once the payment service provider has approved it as successful, and the place in the service is confirmed at the time of payment.
  • Exceptions are services paid on site, such as children’s birthday parties (see section 7) and places received from a waiting list. For these, the place is confirmed when the customer has received a confirmation by email.
  • The customer receives an electronic confirmation of the registration and successful payment by email.

2. Cancellations and Changes

  • Free cancellation is possible up to 7 days before the service begins. During this time, you can cancel yourself online in the My pages section or by email to info@kiipeilyareena.com.
  • Later cancellations are made by email to info@kiipeilyareena.com:
    • 48 hours to 6 days before the service begins: 50% of the amount paid will be refunded.
    • Less than 48 hours before the service: no refund (except in the case of sudden illness, a medical certificate is required).
  • The Service Provider has the right to cancel or reschedule the service, for example due to an insufficient number of participants or force majeure. The customer may be offered a new date or a full refund.
  • For cancellations of children’s birthday parties, see section 7.

3. Participant’s Obligations

  • The customer is responsible for their own state of health and for their ability to participate in the service.
  • The customer agrees to follow the safety instructions given by the instructor or staff.
  • The Service Provider has the right to remove from the service a person who endangers safety. In such cases, no refund will be given.

4. Limitation of Liability

  • The Service Provider is responsible for the proper organization and safety of the service.
  • The customer participates in the service at their own risk. Climbing always involves a risk of injury.
  • The Service Provider is not liable for damages resulting from the customer’s actions contrary to instructions, an inadequate state of health, or other causes beyond its control.
  • We recommend that all participants have their own accident insurance. Please check your insurance terms to make sure climbing is covered, as some policies exclude climbing or require a separate sports add-on. For minors, the guardian is responsible for insurance coverage.

5. Processing of Personal Data

Information provided by the customer at registration is processed in accordance with the privacy policy for the purpose of organizing the service and managing the customer relationship.

6. Applicable Law and Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by Finnish law. Any disputes will primarily be resolved through negotiation. If no agreement is reached, the matter will be settled by the Consumer Disputes Board or the competent district court.

7. Children’s Birthday Parties

  • Payment: Birthday parties are paid on site at the reception before the party begins, according to the current price list (up to 10 people €300, 11–15 people €330).
  • Cancellation and rescheduling: The booking can be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge online up to 7 days before the party. After that, cancellations are made by email to info@kiipeilyareena.com.
  • Number of participants: Up to 15 people. Groups of more than 10 require a second instructor, so please choose the 11–15 person party when booking. If the number of participants grows to more than 10 after booking, please let us know at least 7 days in advance.
  • Advance information: After booking, we will ask by email for the birthday child’s name and age, and the number and ages of the participating children. Please reply at least 7 days before the party.
  • Adult supervision: Participation requires at least one adult for every 10 children. Adults are responsible for the children throughout the visit, including in the party room and while waiting for their turn to climb. The instructor guides and supervises the climbing, and participants must follow the instructor’s instructions.
  • Party room: The room is available for 45 minutes after climbing and must be cleaned after use. Due to fire alarms, candles cannot be lit.

These terms are valid from 9 October 2026.

Membership terms and conditions

Cancelling a booking

  • Courses and events: You can cancel your booking free of charge online up to 7 days before the service begins. Later cancellations are made by email to info@kiipeilyareena.com: 48 hours to 6 days before, we refund 50% of the amount paid, and less than 48 hours before, no refund is given (except in the case of sudden illness, a medical certificate is required).
  • Place received from a waiting list: If you cannot attend, please let us know as soon as possible at info@kiipeilyareena.com so the place can be given to the next person.
  • Children’s birthday parties: Free cancellation or rescheduling online up to 7 days before the party. After that, please contact info@kiipeilyareena.com.
  • Memberships: Cancellation and termination of memberships are described in the membership terms and conditions.

Please let us know about cancellations as early as possible so the place can be offered to others.

Participation terms

By participating in KiipeilyAreena’s courses, instructed groups, birthday parties or events, you agree to the following terms:

  • You are responsible for your own state of health and for your ability to take part in physical activity. Please tell the instructor in advance about anything they should know.
  • You follow the safety instructions given by the instructor and staff, as well as the gym rules: Rules and safety.
  • Climbing is at your own risk, also in instructed activities, and always involves a risk of injury. We recommend having your own accident insurance that also covers climbing.
  • The instructor has the right to stop the climbing or remove from the activity anyone who does not follow instructions or endangers safety.
  • Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult guardian throughout the visit. The guardian is responsible for ensuring that the child is able to participate.
  • Please arrive on time. Arriving late does not extend the booked time.

Waiting list terms

  • Joining the waiting list is free of charge.
  • When a place becomes available, the first person on the waiting list is automatically moved to the participant list and notified by email.
  • You can leave the waiting list up to 24 hours before the course begins. Places are assigned from the waiting list up to 24 hours before the start, so you will know a day in advance whether you can take part.
  • When you get a place, please pay for it at the reception before the course begins. If you cannot attend, please let us know as soon as possible at info@kiipeilyareena.com so the place can be given to the next person.
  • Being on the waiting list does not guarantee a place.
